Uzbek President to Attend WUF13 in Baku

President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will take part in the World Urban Forum 13 (WUF13) set to be held in Baku.

The announcement was made by Abdulaziz Kamilov, Foreign Policy Adviser to the President of Uzbekistan, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

The World Urban Forum 13 (WUF13) is part of a global conference series organized by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) to address the challenges of rapid urbanization and promote sustainable urban development. The forum brings together government leaders, city officials, international organizations, businesses, and civil society to discuss policies and innovative solutions for building inclusive, resilient, and environmentally sustainable cities.

Held every two years, the World Urban Forum serves as one of the world’s largest platforms for dialogue on urban issues, including housing, infrastructure, climate resilience, and smart city development. The upcoming WUF13 in Baku will continue this tradition, focusing on strengthening international cooperation and sharing best practices for the future of urban living.
