Uzbek Student Among Victims of Brown University Shooting

Uzbek student, Muhammad Aziz Umurzokov, has been killed in a shooting at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, the US.

In a message published on its official Telegram channel, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry expressed deep condolences to the family and relatives of the student who lost his life in the tragic incident, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.

The ministry described the shooting, which claimed the lives of innocent people, as a profound loss.

The representatives of Uzbekistan’s diplomatic missions in the US are in constant contact with the victim’s relatives and are closely cooperating with relevant US authorities on all related matters.

According to available information, the shooting on the campus of Brown University left at least two people dead and nine injured, with the condition of eight of the wounded reported as critical.
