Russian Delegation Eyes New Projects at Uzbek Technopark

A delegation from the Russian Embassy, led by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Alexei Erkhov, has paid a visit to Chirchiq Technopark as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Uzbek-Russian cooperation.

The delegation also included Konstantin Zlygostev, a representative of the Russian Trade Mission in Uzbekistan, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The visit focused on showcasing the operations and potential of the Chirchiq and Jizzakh Technoparks, which were established through cooperation between JSC “Uzkimyosanoat” and the Khimgrad Technopolis of the Republic of Tatarstan.

These technoparks are seen as a practical example of the sustainable partnership between Uzbekistan and Russia and play a key role in implementing investment projects with the participation of Russian companies. During the visit, guests were briefed on available investment opportunities, tax and customs incentives, industrial infrastructure, and favorable conditions for localizing production.

The delegation toured several operating enterprises within Chirchiq Technopark, including facilities backed by Russian and other foreign capital, gaining firsthand insight into their technological capacity and production output.

The Russian Embassy emphasized the importance of such industrial platforms in expanding bilateral cooperation, attracting new investors, and strengthening production links. The visit is expected to contribute to deeper trade, economic, and investment ties between Uzbekistan and Russia, opening the door to new joint projects.
