Uzbekistan has taken a new step in expanding its food exports to the Middle East, with the first-ever shipment of Uzbek raisins-23 tons-successfully delivered to Kuwait.
The delivery was carried out under an export contract between Nassar Trading Agro LLC from the Payarik District of Samarkand Region and Kuwait’s Jameel International Company, marking a breakthrough for Uzbek dried fruit producers entering the Kuwaiti market, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
Exports continued to grow with another first-time delivery, as Sunny Land Products from the Yukori-Chirchik District of Tashkent Region shipped eight types of freeze-dried fruits to Kuwait under an agreement with Alraya Albayda Trading Co.
Both export deals were signed during an Open Day organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuwait, an event aimed at boosting export opportunities and promoting Uzbek fruits, vegetables, and food products on global markets.
