During the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan business forum, the two sides signed 13 new trade agreements worth $112 million, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.

The agreements cover cooperation in key sectors including wheat flour, cement, oil products, pasta, and fresh fruit and vegetable supplies.

The growing economic partnership comes as Afghanistan faces rising trade and transit challenges linked to border tensions with Pakistan and instability across the Middle East.

Forum participants noted that the overall volume of trade and investment agreements signed between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan has now exceeded $1.5 billion, highlighting the strengthening strategic and economic relationship between the neighboring countries.
