A delegation from the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan has visited Malaysia to explore opportunities for enhancing bilateral economic cooperation.
As part of the visit, the delegation got familiar with the activities of SME Corporation Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur, The Caspian Post reports citing Akipress.Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance and Director of the Institute of Macroeconomic and Regional Studies under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan Umid Abidkhadjayev met with CEO of SME Corporation Malaysia Rizal Nainy. The discussions focused on promising areas of economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia.
At the meeting, SME Corporation Malaysia presented its financing programs, which aim to address labor shortages by improving productivity through automation and digitalization. Programs for vocational training via technical and vocational education and training (TVET) systems were also introduced.
Additionally, both sides exchanged views on developing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by sharing experiences on specialized programs implemented by relevant ministries and agencies.
Following the discussions, key areas for future cooperation were identified, including the organization of joint educational programs and webinars for knowledge exchange.
