Starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, Uzbekistan will introduce tuition discounts for children of teachers enrolled at higher education institutions.

According to the country’s Ministry of Education, full-time bachelor’s students at state higher education institutions will be eligible for a 30% tuition discount.

The benefit will not apply to students at military or paramilitary institutions, foreign universities and their branches, or non-state universities. It will also exclude programs covered by supplementary or differentiated contracts, as well as joint faculties established in cooperation with foreign partners.

If several children of the same teacher are studying on a fee-paying basis at state universities, each child will be eligible for the discount individually. Applications will be verified through the Digital Government interagency platform and processed within two working days.

The discount can be granted once per academic year. If a student’s parent no longer meets the criteria for the “teacher” category, the benefit will cease to apply from the following academic year.
