Uzbekistan’s newly appointed ambassador to the Principality of Liechtenstein, with residence in Berlin, Dilshod Akhatov, presented his credentials to the country’s Crown Prince Alois.
Crown Prince Alois expressed his support for the reforms being implemented in q and for the efforts aimed at strengthening mutually beneficial relations between the two countries, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
He underlined that, for the first time in history, an ambassador of Uzbekistan had been accredited to Liechtenstein.
It was noted that the establishment of diplomatic relations between Liechtenstein and Uzbekistan in March 2024 created an important foundation for continuing cooperation on a systematic basis. Vaduz reaffirmed its commitment to expanding and strengthening ties with Tashkent.
At the end of the meeting, Crown Prince Alois conveyed his sincere greetings and best wishes to the President of Uzbekistan and wished peace and prosperity to the people of Uzbekistan.
For reference, Dilshod Akhatov presented his credentials to Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in October 2023 as Uzbekistan’s ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany. To date, he also serves as Uzbekistan’s ambassador to Switzerland and the Czech Republic on a concurrent basis.
Additionally, the Uzbek delegation met with Liechtenstein’s Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Environment and Culture, Sabine Monauni. During the talks, the two sides highly valued the constructive dialogue between their countries within the framework of the United Nations and other international organizations.
