Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree approving major international agreements between Uzbekistan and Serbia aimed at boosting investment and economic cooperation.
The agreements, signed on October 28, 2025, in Tashkent, include a deal on the promotion and mutual protection of investments, as well as a framework for expanding economic collaboration between the two governments, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
Under the decree, Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade has been designated as the competent authority responsible for implementing the agreements. Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry will notify Serbia once all internal procedures are completed, paving the way for the deals to enter into force.
