Akhror Burkhanov, spokesperson for Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry, has said that Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan will hold the next round of political consultations in the second half of 2026.
According to the 2025-2026 cooperation program between the two ministries, the consultations are planned to take place in Tashkent, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
Burkhanov emphasized that Uzbekistan sees Azerbaijan not just as a partner but as a brotherly country, close friend, and reliable ally, united by shared historical roots, spiritual ties, and similar strategic goals. He added that the personal friendship and mutual trust between the leaders of both nations have brought bilateral relations to an unprecedented high.
“Thanks to our joint commitment to development and openness to new initiatives, our cooperation will continue to strengthen, becoming a prime example of successful strategic partnership,” Burkhanov said.
