Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency and Belgium’s Immigration Service have signed their first-ever bilateral cooperation agreement, marking a historic step in diplomatic and administrative ties.
The agreement aims to expand legal work opportunities for Uzbek citizens in Belgium, introduce European migration management standards into Uzbekistan’s national system, and implement educational programs based on Belgian experience, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
It also establishes direct dialogue between the two agencies to improve transparency and efficiency in migration processes. Belgium’s Immigration Service, the central authority for migration policy, oversees entry, residence permits, and international protection.
This new collaboration is designed to strengthen practical ties and modernize Uzbekistan’s migration management system.
