Uzbekistan-China Business Forum Spotlights Expanding Cooperation and Investment Opportunities

Tashkent recently hosted the Uzbekistan-China Business Forum, underscoring the growing cooperation between the two nations.

China is considered Uzbekistan’s most significant trade and investment partner, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

By the end of 2024, China had invested $10 billion in Uzbekistan, and the trade turnover amounted to $13.1 billion. 3357 enterprises operating in Uzbekistan with the participation of Chinese capital are implementing projects in the energy, light industry, infrastructure development, and food production.

At the business forum, the participants were informed about the country’s investment and industrial potential and readiness to provide comprehensive support to entrepreneurs in the implementation of projects and operation of commissioned facilities, creating conditions for doing business in Uzbekistan, and protecting entrepreneurs’ rights and interests.

B2B and B2G meetings took place, where promising areas of cooperation were discussed.
