Uzbekistan, China Discuss Expansion of Smart Farming and AI Technologies in Agriculture

Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Kahramon Yuldashev, has held a working meeting with representatives of leading Chinese companies to discuss the introduction of modern “smart” technologies into the country’s agricultural sector.

The conversation focused heavily on developing smart farming and applying advanced AI-based solutions throughout the entire cotton production cycle - from cultivation to processing, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.

The sides explored opportunities for creating pilot zones, attracting investment, launching production facilities, and integrating foreign digital platforms with Uzbekistan’s national information systems.

Participants noted that the adoption of resource-saving technologies, automation of agricultural processes using drones, and the implementation of China’s modern agro-solutions have significantly boosted Uzbekistan’s agricultural efficiency in recent years.

Experts believe this growing technological partnership could accelerate the country’s transition to high-tech, data-driven farming.
