Uzbekistan Deepens Investment and Trade Cooperation with Germany

Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, met with a delegation from the German Development Bank (KfW) led by Executive Board member Christina Leibach, according to the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan.

During the discussion, the progress of projects in the areas of water supply, education, agriculture, alternative energy, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, mining, processing, and export of minerals, as well as infrastructure, was reviewed, The Caspian Post reports citing Trend.

A framework for further cooperation was agreed upon, with the aim of implementing the agreements reached.

Meanwhile, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Germany totaled $169.3 million in January 2025. This figure has increased by 75 percent year-on-year ($96.7 million in January 2024).
