Uzbekistan Deepens Trade Links with Slovenia

Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, has paid a working visit to Slovenia this week, engaging in a series of strategic meetings and events focused on enhancing bilateral economic ties.

During his trip, Kudratov met with Slovenia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Tanja Fajon, and Minister of Economy, Tourism and Sport, Matjaž Han, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing a pragmatic, results-oriented partnership between the two countries.

A highlight of the visit was a business roundtable organized by SPIRIT Slovenia, the country’s national business development agency. The event brought together representatives from leading companies across Uzbekistan and Slovenia. Attendees were presented with a detailed overview of Uzbekistan’s investment climate and export opportunities, along with specific projects available for joint implementation.

The visit also featured Government-to-Business (G2B) meetings, where Uzbek officials and Slovenian companies explored partnerships in industrial production, renewable energy, agricultural processing, and innovative technology sectors.

Both sides expressed a strong commitment to open dialogue and long-term collaboration, setting the stage for the execution of previously signed agreements and the development of new initiatives in trade, investment, and industrial cooperation.
