Uzbekistan Establishes Diplomatic Ties with Côte d’Ivoire

A Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic ties between Uzbekistan and Côte d’Ivoire was signed in New York.

The document was signed on behalf of their respective governments by Ulugbek Lapasov, Uzbekistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and Tiémoko Moriko, Côte d’Ivoire’s Permanent Representative to the UN, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

The parties expressed readiness to strengthen joint cooperation within international organizations, including the United Nations and its specialized agencies.

The sides also agreed to activate bilateral contacts to identify mutually beneficial areas of cooperation in the political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
