Uzbekistan Explores Logistics Hub in Poland

Diplomats from Uzbekistan’s Embassy in Poland held a meeting with Lucjan Zwolak, Deputy Director General of Poland’s National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR), to discuss ways to expand cooperation in the agricultural sector.

During the talks, the possibility of establishing an Uzbekistan logistics center-a hub-in Poland was also explored, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

Following the negotiations, the sides reached the following agreements:

  • Allocate one of two buildings owned by KOWR, located on the border of the Masovian and Łódź voivodeships, for an Uzbekistan logistics center - based on the principle of reciprocity;
  • Develop project proposals during a working group visit from Uzbekistan to Poland;
  • Engage qualified workers from Uzbekistan or students of agricultural universities in seasonal work at 40 agriculture-focused companies affiliated with KOWR;
  • Ensure the participation of Polish companies in the UzFood - 2026 international exhibition to be held in Tashkent on April 1-3, 2026;
  • Support the participation of Uzbek enterprises in the AGROTECH international exhibition (Kielce, March 13-15, 2026) and the POLAGRA international exhibition (Poznań, September 23-25, 2026).

During the meeting, Lucjan Zwolak noted that export-import ties between the two countries have been expanding year by year. In particular, in 2024 Poland exported agricultural products worth €72 million to Uzbekistan, while imports of such products from Uzbekistan to Poland amounted to €10 million. He added that there is potential to triple these figures in the future.
