The Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association (Uztextileprom) held discussions with Yilmaz Okuklu, founder of Turk Ticaret Merkezi, focusing on opportunities to deepen cooperation in the textile sector and boost trade between the two countries, The Caspian Post reports via UzDaily.
A key topic of the meeting was increasing the visibility of Uzbekistan’s textile products in Azerbaijan and creating new opportunities for local manufacturers to expand their export reach.
The parties explored plans to establish trade houses and dedicated showrooms that would showcase Uzbek-made textile products to Azerbaijani buyers, retailers, and business partners. The initiative is expected to help promote Uzbekistan’s growing textile industry and strengthen its position in regional markets.
Officials also discussed broader strategies aimed at enhancing trade and economic cooperation, with a particular focus on supporting exports, building stronger business connections, and opening new sales channels for Uzbek producers.
