The Uzbek Foreign Ministry has recently hosted a meeting between Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and Mykola Doroshenko, the outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Uzbekistan, during which they thoroughly reviewed key bilateral and multilateral issues, highlighting positive progress in trade and economic relations between the two countries.
The Uzbek side expressed sincere gratitude to Doroshenko for his years of dedicated service aimed at strengthening and broadening the partnership between the two nations, and extended best wishes for his continued success in future endeavors, The Caspian Post reports per Uzbek media.
Ukraine and Uzbekistan have maintained friendly and cooperative relations since Uzbekistan gained independence in 1991. Both countries share a history as former Soviet republics and have built strong diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties over the years.
