Uzbekistan and Iraq are working on launching direct air services between the two countries.
The Iraqi side has also announced plans to simplify visa procedures for Uzbek citizens, a move expected to boost business, tourism, and people-to-people contacts, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
These issues were discussed during a meeting held on the sidelines of the Baghdad International Fair, where representatives from both countries explored ways to deepen trade, transport, and economic cooperation.
The potential launch of direct flights and eased visa rules signals growing interest from both sides in strengthening bilateral ties and expanding connectivity between Central Asia and the Middle East.
