The second round of political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has taken place in Amman, further strengthening the growing ties between the two nations.
The Uzbek delegation was led by Bakhromjon Aloyev, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, while the Jordanian side was headed by Daifullo Ali Al-Fayez, First Deputy Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
During the meeting, both parties emphasized the historic importance of King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein’s first official visit to Uzbekistan, calling it a major milestone that opened a new chapter in bilateral relations.
The consultations focused on the progress made in implementing the “Roadmap” adopted following the royal visit. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to:
Deepening political dialogue
Strengthening interparliamentary cooperation
Expanding the legal and institutional framework
Enhancing coordination within international and regional organizations
A major part of the discussions centered on economic diplomacy, with the two delegations exploring ways to increase mutual trade, diversify economic ties, and promote joint investment projects.
The consultations also covered areas of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, with special attention given to partnerships in education, science, and tourism. The delegations additionally exchanged views on pressing regional and international developments.
