Uzbekistan Launches New Bus Route to St. Petersburg

Uzbekistan is expanding its international transport links as a new long-distance bus route between Tashkent and Saint Petersburg is set to launch later this month.

The regular bus services operated by Uzautotrans Service will begin on February 23, 2026, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Buses on the Tashkent-Saint Petersburg route will run twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. The first departure is scheduled for February 23 at 17:00 (GMT+5) from Tashkent’s central bus station. A one-way ticket will cost 1.2 million Uzbek soums ($98.35).

The route includes an intermediate stop in Moscow at the Novoyasenevskaya Bus Station, providing added convenience for passengers traveling to or via the Russian capital.

Return trips from Saint Petersburg to Tashkent will also operate on Mondays and Fridays, with departures set for 17:00.
