President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has attended an informal meeting of CIS heads of state at the State Hermitage in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
The summit brought together leaders including Russian President Vladimir Putin, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
During the meeting, the leaders reviewed the results of joint work over the past year and outlined priority areas for future cooperation. They discussed key regional and international issues and developed coordinated approaches to strengthen collaboration in essential sectors.
Special attention was given to creating favorable conditions for boosting trade turnover, developing transport and investment cooperation, enhancing energy and digital sector partnerships, and expanding joint projects in science, education, culture, and the arts.
The leaders emphasized the importance of long-term regional partnerships, promoting cultural and humanitarian exchanges, and fostering the creative, innovative, and intellectual potential of youth across the Commonwealth of Independent States.
