Tashkent–Kazan Train Service Back on Track After Hiatus

Rail connections between Uzbekistan and Russia are expanding, as the first train on the restored Tashkent-Kazan route departed on December 21, 2025.

Train No. 315 leaves Tashkent Central Station every Sunday at 23:55 (GMT+5) and arrives at Kazan Station on Wednesday at 13:47. The return service, Train No. 316, departs Kazan on Thursdays at 10:33 and reaches Tashkent on Sunday at 04:32, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The train operates with seven carriages and can carry up to 342 passengers, offering a comfortable and reliable travel option between the capitals of Uzbekistan and Tatarstan.

Officials say the resumption of the Tashkent-Kazan rail service will boost passenger mobility and further strengthen transport and people-to-people links between Uzbekistan and Russia.
