Tatarstan to Open Two Extra Polling Stations for Kyrgyz Citizens Ahead of Snap Parliamentary Elections

The Central Election Commission of Tatarstan will help set up two additional polling stations for Kyrgyz citizens living in the region so they can take part in the upcoming snap elections to the Jogorku Kenesh, the country’s Parliament.

The special polling locations will operate in Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny, making it easier for Kyrgyz nationals to cast their votes abroad, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

Chairman of Tatarstan’s Central Election Commission, Andrei Kondratyev, emphasized the region’s long-standing experience in assisting foreign electoral processes.

"Our republic’s electoral commission system has accumulated extensive experience in assisting in organizing and conducting elections for government bodies in foreign countries. We traditionally provide all the necessary technological equipment and support the election process with informational assistance," he said.

Kyrgyzstan’s snap parliamentary elections for the eighth convocation are scheduled for November 30. Campaigning began on November 10 and will run until 8:00 a.m. (GMT+6) on November 29, one day before the vote. Official results are expected to be finalized and announced by December 14.
