Uzbekistan Opens Samarqand Digital Hub in San Francisco

A new innovation center aimed at supporting Uzbek startups and young tech talent has officially opened in San Francisco, marking another step in Uzbekistan’s push to expand its global digital presence.

The new Samarqand Digital Hub is designed to help startup teams, developers and innovators from Samarkand connect with international markets and investors, including those in the US, The Caspian Post reports via UzDaily.

The opening ceremony was attended by Samarkand regional governor Adiz Boboev, who reviewed the hub’s infrastructure, technological capabilities and startup facilities.

On the first day of operations, the hub signed a cooperation memorandum with Humonola Inc focused on developing startup projects and expanding opportunities for Uzbek innovators in global markets.

The Samarqand Digital Hub is expected to become an important platform for strengthening Uzbekistan’s IT and startup ecosystem while deepening technological cooperation with international partners and investors.

The project aims to unlock the innovation potential of young people in the Samarkand region by linking them directly with the global tech community.
