Uzbekistan, Pakistan Sign Geology Cooperation Deal

During the Uzbek-Pakistani Business Forum in Islamabad, the Uzbek Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology has held talks with HRL Group, focusing on potential cooperation based on Uzbekistan’s expertise in geological surveying and mining development.

The meeting focused on the prospects for joint geological exploration projects at deposits of copper, gold, and other strategically important mineral resources in Pakistan, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Following the talks, Bekhzot Narmatov, adviser to the minister, Khaitbai Omonov, Director General of Uzbek Overseas Geology Company LLC, and a representative of HRL Group signed a memorandum of cooperation, formalizing the two countries’ intention to strengthen partnerships in the mining sector and expand bilateral cooperation in resource development.
