Uzbekistan and Pakistan have held an online dialogue to deepen collaboration in the field of public procurement.
The talks brought together Hasnat Ahmed Qureshi, Head of Pakistan’s Public Procurement Regulatory Authority, and Sarvar Nazarov, Director of Uzbekistan’s Public Procurement Department, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
The meeting built on agreements made during Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s official visit to Uzbekistan.
Both sides exchanged insights on their national procurement systems and discussed opportunities for joint participation and future cooperation. Key priorities included improving legal frameworks, developing e-procurement platforms, training skilled professionals, and sharing expertise.
To advance these goals, the parties proposed creating a joint working group to design practical steps for collaboration. They also agreed to maintain regular dialogue and continue exchanging experience to strengthen capacity in public procurement management.
