Uzbekistan has concluded bilateral negotiations with Paraguay on market access as part of its World Trade Organization (WTO) accession process and signed the corresponding protocol.
The document was signed during Paraguayan President Santiago Peña’s visit to Tashkent. Following the meeting, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Peña also signed a joint statement, The Caspian Post reports via the Uzbek president's press office.
“In the presence of the leaders, a protocol was signed marking the completion of bilateral market access talks within Uzbekistan’s WTO accession process, along with a memorandum of understanding to establish an inter-ministerial mechanism for political consultations,” the statement said.
