Uzbekistan Proposes Fact-Checking Center for Turkic States

During the Forum of Turkic States on Combating Disinformation in Ankara, Türkiye, Uzbekistan’s State Advisor on Language, Spirituality, and Education, Hamza Jumayev, has proposed creating a shared fact-checking center for Turkic countries.

He emphasized the need for a unified media platform to effectively counter disinformation, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

Jumayev suggested establishing media schools and journalism academies across the Turkic world, alongside joint fact-checking centers. He also proposed including representatives from allied countries in press councils to present a unified stance against external influence.
