Uzbekistan's Andijan Airport Strengthening Its Role as Key Aviation Hub in Fergana Valley

Andijan International Airport continues expanding its route network, solidifying its position as a major aviation hub in Uzbekistan’s Fergana Valley.

According to the 2025-2026 autumn-winter schedule, effective from October to March, the airport now offers regular international flights to Russia, Türkiye, and Saudi Arabia, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Currently, six airlines operate flights from Andijan - Uzbekistan Airways, Centrum Air, S7 Airlines, FlyOne Asia, Fly Khiva, and Silk Avia.

The national carrier Uzbekistan Airways operates flights to Istanbul twice a week (on Mondays and Thursdays), to St. Petersburg (Mondays and Wednesdays), and to Moscow (Vnukovo Airport) four times a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays). Additionally, weekly Sunday flights to Novosibirsk are operated using Airbus A320 aircraft.

Regional carrier Silk Avia connects Andijan and Tashkent twice weekly, on Thursdays and Saturdays. Centrum Air flies to Novosibirsk on Mondays and Saturdays, while Russia’s S7 Airlines serves the same route on Mondays and operates flights to Irkutsk on Fridays.

FlyOne Asia provides regular service to Saudi Arabia, flying to Jeddah three times a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) and to Medina on Saturdays and Sundays. Another airline, Fly Khiva, has launched a weekly Andijan-Medina-Andijan route, operating on Saturdays.

With these new connections, residents of the Fergana Valley now enjoy direct access to major cities in Russia and Türkiye, as well as to the holy cities of Saudi Arabia.

Andijan Airport resumed operations on March 20, 2025, following the completion of the first stage of a large-scale reconstruction project. The upgrade included a complete modernization of the runway, taxiways, main apron, and aircraft parking areas. The final phase of construction and infrastructure improvements is expected to be completed by the end of this year, further enhancing the airport’s capacity and passenger comfort.
