Governor of Uzbekistan's Ferghana region Khayrullo Bozorov has met with a high-level German delegation, including MedCare24 GmbH CEO Evgeny Polyanovsky, German Medical Institute founder Olga Engelmann, and Irina Nazarenko, head of a scientific group at the University Medical Center of Freiburg.
Rector of Central Asian Medical University, Nurillo Mamasadikov, also took part in the talks, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.
The meeting focused on moving forward with a 5 million-euro-cooperation agreement signed in July between Central Asian Medical University, MedCare24 GmbH, and German Medical Institute. The partnership includes medical staff training, experience exchange, patient treatment under social programs, and the development of international clinical cooperation.
The guests visited the university and local clinics, praising the quality and range of modern medical services available to residents.
Both sides discussed new plans to strengthen the regional healthcare system - from creating a scientific laboratory to supporting graduates who speak German with advanced training and employment opportunities in Germany.
Bozorov highlighted the importance of the initiatives and reaffirmed the region’s commitment to accelerating their implementation.
