Uzbekistan’s Samarkand Becomes CIS Hub for Shaping Future of Artificial Intelligence

Uzbekistan’s Samarkand has become the focal point for discussions on the future of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Commonwealth of Independent States, as the city hosts the International Forum on “The Development of Artificial Intelligence Technologies in the Commonwealth of Independent States”.

The event has brought together over 100 prominent specialists, industry experts, IT company leaders, and government officials from CIS member states, including Turkmenistan, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.

The forum serves as a central platform for exchanging ideas, setting unified policies and standards for AI development, and fostering collaborative innovation. Key discussions have centered on experience-sharing between nations, expanding regional partnerships, and initiating joint AI-driven projects.

Organizers anticipate that the event will conclude with the signing of multiple agreements aimed at deepening cooperation in artificial intelligence. These accords are expected to bolster scientific and technological collaboration within the CIS and accelerate the adoption of digital technologies across a wide range of economic sectors.
