Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia Strengthen Economic Alliance

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has met with Saudi Investment Minister Khalid Al-Falih and a delegation of top Saudi executives to discuss expanding the Uzbek-Saudi strategic partnership and advancing the implementation of major joint projects.

During the meeting, Al‑Falih conveyed warm greetings from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to President Mirziyoyev, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Officials highlighted robust growth in bilateral relations-trade and investment flows are rising, air connectivity has expanded, and the number of joint ventures is increasing. They noted that the joint project portfolio now totals $27 billion, with $15 billion dedicated to energy initiatives led by ACWA Power.

The meeting also reflected on the success of the recent Intergovernmental Commission and Uzbek-Saudi Business Council sessions in Tashkent, where new agreements were signed. Key sectors identified for accelerated collaboration include green energy, agriculture, electrical engineering, real estate, and infrastructure modernization.
