Uzbekistan Sees 16.4% Surge in Foreign-Invested Businesses

The number of enterprises with foreign investment in Uzbekistan reached 16,609 as of August 1, 2025, marking a 16.4 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.

According to official data, 4,094 of these businesses are joint ventures, while 12,515 are wholly owned by foreign investors, The Caspian Post reports per Uzbek media.

China remains the largest source of foreign investment, with 4,250 enterprises operating in Uzbekistan, followed by Russia (3,093), Türkiye (1,982), Kazakhstan (1,149), South Korea (671), Afghanistan (622), the United Arab Emirates (369), India (332), and the US (322).
