Uzbekistan, Serbia Eye Joint Ventures to Deepen Investment Cooperation

The second round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Serbia has been held via videoconference, focusing on the creation of joint ventures and greater involvement of both countries’ business communities in investment projects.

The Uzbek delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Muzaffar Madrahimov, while the Serbian side was led by State Secretary of the Foreign Ministry Damjan Jović, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.

During the discussions, both parties reviewed the current state and future prospects of Uzbek-Serbian cooperation, emphasizing the expansion of economic ties in key sectors such as industry, agriculture, energy, information and communication technologies, tourism, and renewable energy.

The sides also explored opportunities to strengthen inter-parliamentary dialogue and enhance collaboration in education, science, and culture. In addition, they discussed the improvement of the legal framework regulating bilateral cooperation, visa procedures, labor migration, and coordination within international and regional organizations.

Concluding the consultations, Uzbekistan and Serbia reaffirmed their mutual commitment to deepening partnership and friendship, underscoring the principles of trust, equality, and mutual benefit as the foundation of their bilateral relations.
