Uzbekistan’s national team has concluded its participation in the World Summer University Games in Germany’s Rhine-Ruhr region with a record-breaking performance, highlighted by Sharifa Davronova’s gold medal in the triple jump after achieving a personal best of 14.33 meters on the final day.
Her achievement added a final flourish to the country’s overall success at the Games, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
According to the Uzbek National Olympic Committee, the national delegation earned a total of 15 medals - including 4 gold, 4 silver, and 7 bronze - the highest medal tally in Uzbekistan’s history at the Universiade.
