Uzbekistan Shines in 2025 SDG Report, Showing Strongest Progress in Central Asia

Uzbekistan has made significant strides in the 2025 Sustainable Development Report, released by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network, improving its ranking by 19 positions to secure 62nd place out of 167 countries.

The report highlights Uzbekistan as the fastest-progressing country in Central Asia and Eastern Europe toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) since 2015.

The reforms implemented in Uzbekistan to advance the SDGs received high praise in the report.

Notable achievements include reducing poverty, improving the quality of education and healthcare, ensuring food security, promoting gender equality, strengthening social protection mechanisms, rapidly developing digital and green economies, and enhancing the transparency of statistical data.
