Uzbekistan put its urban innovation on full display at a Beijing seminar focused on eco-friendly, smart city development. Highlighting the “New Tashkent” project, the country showcased its modern, sustainable, and energy-efficient approach to housing and city planning, attracting attention from experts and officials across Central Asia and China.
Uzbekistan’s Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, Sherzod Khidoyatov, attended the event, where leaders and experts from Central Asia and China discussed innovative construction technologies, energy-efficient buildings, and sustainable urban planning, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
The Uzbek delegation presented the “New Tashkent” project, showcasing modern urban planning principles, which drew strong interest and positive feedback from participants.
The seminar also explored regional cooperation opportunities in construction materials, architecture, engineering, and advanced technologies. Khidoyatov highlighted Uzbekistan’s ongoing reforms to create modern, eco-friendly, and comfortable residential spaces, emphasizing the introduction of smart city concepts and energy-efficient building practices.
