US President Donald Trump revealed a landmark trade and investment deal with Uzbekistan, pledging nearly $35 billion in purchases and investments in key American industries over the next three years.
The agreement covers strategic sectors such as mineral extraction, aviation, automotive parts, infrastructure, energy, agriculture, IT, and chemicals, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.
Trump noted that long-term investments could exceed $100 billion over the next decade, signaling a major boost for US-Central Asia economic ties.
The US leader praised Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the partnership and highlighted America’s readiness for sustained, productive relations with the republic. The announcement came during the C5+1 summit in Washington, where Trump met leaders from all five Central Asian nations.
