Uzbekistan Showcases Silk Road Travel in US

Uzbekistan has presented its vast tourism potential to the American market through a series of roadshows titled “Uzbekistan - the Pearl of the Silk Road,” aimed at introducing U.S. audiences to the country’s rich cultural heritage and diverse travel opportunities.

The first event took place on January 24 in New York during the Travel & Adventure Show 2026, one of the largest tourism exhibitions in the United States, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Visitors were introduced to Uzbekistan’s ancient history, unique cultural heritage, varied tourist routes, and distinctive natural and architectural landmarks along the historic Silk Road.

The second stage of the promotional tour was held on January 27 in Chicago, where tourism professionals, tour operators, and media representatives explored Uzbekistan’s historical legacy, immersive travel experiences, and rapidly developing tourism infrastructure.

Earlier reports noted that Uzbekistan was recognized as 2026 Best in Show - Trade Activation following its participation in the New York Travel & Adventure Show at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, underscoring the country’s growing appeal and visibility in the U.S. travel market.
