Representatives of the Uzbek Ministry of Agriculture have met with a Slovenian delegation of leading scientists and beekeeping experts to discuss expanding scientific collaboration, introducing modern technologies, and sharing best practices in beekeeping.
The parties also discussed ongoing work under the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) project, Global Knowledge and Skills Exchange in Beekeeping and Honey Production, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.
The initiative aims to disseminate knowledge and innovations widely, boost employment in rural areas, support youth entrepreneurship, and promote environmental sustainability.
Officials also explored strategies to expand the export of beekeeping products, tap into new markets, and implement joint investment projects.
Following the meeting, Slovenian experts took part in a scientific and practical seminar at the Tashkent State Agrarian University, sharing their expertise with entrepreneurs and students in the beekeeping sector. Participants learned about innovative Slovenian practices, including honey production techniques, quality control systems, and preparing products for export.
