Munira Aminova, Adviser to the Uzbek Foreign Minister, has met with a Swedish delegation led by Ambassador Tomas Danestad and Carolina Wennerholm, Director at the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in migration management, reintegration, and social protection.
Both sides also explored joint educational and humanitarian programs, with a particular emphasis on supporting Afghanistan through Uzbekistan, especially in the fields of education and social assistance, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.
Aminova and the Swedish delegation expressed a shared commitment to developing new collaborative projects aimed at strengthening social stability and fostering sustainable development.
This visit marks a significant step forward in enhancing Uzbek-Swedish relations, reinforcing the humanitarian dimension of their foreign policies, and opening new avenues for partnership, including coordinated efforts to assist Afghanistan.
