A high-level Uzbek delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Olimjon Abdullaev, has met with Benjamin Dousa, Sweden’s Minister for Foreign Trade and International Development Cooperation, to review and plan the next stages of economic collaboration between the two nations.
During their talks, both sides underscored the current strength of Uzbekistan-Sweden trade relations and emphasized a steady upward trajectory in mutual commerce over recent years, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.
Dousa stated that Swedish delegations visiting Uzbekistan this year returned with “very positive impressions.” He praised Uzbekistan’s wide-reaching reforms and its open foreign policy-particularly its efforts to strengthen regional cooperation across Central Asia and deepen ties with the EU. These initiatives, he said, position Uzbekistan as an increasingly reliable and promising partner for Sweden.
The meeting also covered future trade and investment opportunities between Astana and Bern, as well as ways to coordinate shared objectives within international organizations.
