Uzbekistan to Host High-Level Polish Business Delegation

Representatives from the Embassy of Uzbekistan took part in the Diplomatic Opening 2025 conference, organized by the Polish Chamber of Commerce. The event aimed to strengthen ties between the diplomatic corps in Warsaw and members of the Polish business community.

The event gathered over 80 diplomatic missions and more than 400 Polish business representatives, who exchanged views on developing bilateral relations, The Caspian Post reports citing UzA.

In his speech, Michał Jaros, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, emphasized that the Polish government is focused on three key tasks: protecting Polish companies to enhance their global competitiveness, opening new markets, and developing new skills for Polish businesses.

In this regard, he mentioned the upcoming delegation visit he leads to Uzbekistan from February 24-26, where they will participate in the 8th session of the Uzbekistan - Poland Intergovernmental Commission and a joint business forum. He noted that meticulous preparations are being made for these events.

He emphasized that Poland views Uzbekistan as a long-term, significant, and promising partner in Central Asia. During Poland’s presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2025, one of the priorities will be the further development of bilateral and multilateral trade and economic cooperation with Uzbekistan.

As part of the event, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Amirsaid Agzamkhojayev held talks with Michał Jaros, during which the Polish side confirmed its readiness for the upcoming visit to Uzbekistan and its associated events.

The business forum is expected to gather more than 60 Polish companies.
