A high-level meeting in Tashkent between Uzbek Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, Kongratbay Sharipov, and Turkmen Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers, Bayramgul Orazdurdyyeva, has focused on expanding strategic partnerships in education, science, and technological development.
Key topics included faculty and student exchanges, short-term internships, and joint projects under European programs like Erasmus+, as well as the creation of dual-degree programs in agriculture, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.
Both sides also explored collaboration for the WorldSkills 2026 international championship in Uzbekistan, sharing expertise in vocational education to ensure the event’s success. Additional talks covered joint scientific projects in agriculture, irrigation, desert land reclamation, green energy, water management, IT, and artificial intelligence.
Sharipov and Orazdurdiyeva emphasized that academic mobility, cooperation between technology parks, and new educational programs will be crucial in strengthening bilateral ties. The meeting concluded with the establishment of a joint working group and the preparation of a 2025-2026 roadmap for cooperation, highlighting the growing friendship and trust between the two nations.
