Uzbekistan, UAE Review Path to Closer Cooperation

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan have held a phone conversation to review ongoing efforts to deepen the strong friendship and strategic partnership between their countries.

Sheikh Mansour conveyed best regards from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The sides discussed progress on implementing agreements reached during President Mirziyoyev’s visit to the UAE in January 2025.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the positive development of bilateral ties in key areas such as trade, investment, innovation, transport, and communications. They highlighted sustained growth in mutual trade, an expanding portfolio of joint investment projects, rising numbers of joint ventures, and increased direct flights connecting the two countries.

Emphasizing the importance of continuous dialogue at all levels, the leaders agreed on the need for thorough preparation ahead of upcoming high-level meetings to advance promising initiatives and mutually beneficial projects.
