Arayik Harutyunyan, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office, met with a delegation headed by Olof Skoog, the Deputy Secretary General for Political Affairs at the European External Action Service (EEAS).
During the meeting, the course of Armenia-EU relations, the recently launched agenda of the strategic dialogue on political and security issues, and opportunities for further deepening bilateral cooperation were discussed, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a readout, The Caspian Post reports, citing Armenian media.
The parties positively assessed the dynamics of bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to advancing cooperation based on shared values and strategic interests.
Harutyunyan highlighted steps being taken to strengthen institutional resilience and emphasized the importance of the EU’s continued support.
The parties also exchanged views on preparations for the 8th European Political Community Summit and the inaugural Armenia-EU summit, which are scheduled to be held in Yerevan on May 3-4, 2026.
