Armenia Explores Investment Opportunities at India’s Medical Tech Cluster

At the invitation of India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, Armenia’s Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan has visited the Andhra Pradesh Medical Technology Zone.

During the visit, Papoyan toured the zone’s modern production and research facilities, including specialized laboratories, testing centers, and warehouse complexes, The Caspian Post informs via Armenian media.

Highlighting Armenia’s free economic zones, Papoyan spoke about plans to establish new industrial zones in the country, equipped with the necessary infrastructure to support diverse sectors. He invited Indian companies to explore investment opportunities in these upcoming Armenian industrial zones, noting that government support, tax incentives, and other facilitation mechanisms would help produce goods competitively for the international market.

The delegation also included Vaagn Afyan, Armenia’s Ambassador to India.

The Andhra Pradesh Medical Technology Zone is among the world’s largest clusters for medical technology, hosting over 100 companies engaged in the research, testing, and production of advanced medical devices.
