Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan met in Berlin with Gunther Krichbaum, Minister of State for Europe at the Federal Foreign Office, to discuss prospects for advancing Yerevan-Berlin relations and expanding multifaceted cooperation, according to a statement from the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, both sides underscored the importance of coordinated efforts to implement the provisions of the Declaration on the Strategic Agenda for Bilateral Partnership, which was signed by the Prime Minister of Armenia and the Federal Chancellor of Germany on December 9, 2025, The Caspian Post reports, citing Armenian media.
The officials also addressed a broad range of issues related to the Armenia-European Union strategic partnership agenda, emphasizing the need to further deepen cooperation within this framework. In addition, they exchanged views on several regional and international developments.
Vahan Kostanyan briefed Gunther Krichbaum on the opportunities arising from initiatives aimed at unblocking regional infrastructure following the recently established peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This included discussion of the implementation of the TRIPP project and its potential benefits for regional connectivity and cooperation.
